“I Saw the Light” is a country gospel song written by Hank Williams. Williams was inspired to write the song while returning from a concert, and he heard a remark his mother made while they were arriving in Montgomery, Alabama. He recorded the song during his first session for MGM Records and released it in September 1948. Notice: 1948 was the year that Israel became a sovereign state. This happened 76 years ago.
“I saw the light, I saw the light,
No more darkness, no more night;
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight,
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!”
If America is to survive as we know it, we must see the light. Pray for America today.
