Erik Weisz, also known as The Great Houdini, was an escape artist. No lock could keep him locked. He was the greatest escape artist of that time, perhaps of all times. His lunacy killed him. He bragged that he could take the punch of any man. And he did, until a man hit him unexpectedly in the stomach rupturing his appendix. Giving too much liberty cost him greatly.
We can say that the position “left” is freedom. Too much liberty can be bad. Why? You can be too far left to be right. Too much right is restriction. Balance in life is paramount. Too far “right” would also be dogmatic. Too far either way can become a curse. “Anything out of balance is a curse.” Church on Sunday helps to keep us in balance: God first; everything else second.
