The last sermon of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was preached March 31, 1968, in Washington, D.C. at a Cathedral. The title was “Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution.” Awake to me is the time we can see, hear, feel, smell and taste. All senses are operative. Sometimes we need to get something to make us over. There is a story in the Bible about a blind man, Bartimaeus. He was at the roadside begging when Jesus passes by. He cried out more a great deal, “Jesus have mercy on me!” Sometimes, we must become aggressive to receive from the Lord. Today is that day for you.

Romans 10:17 – “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”   (NKJV)
